FOR THE GLORY OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR
Our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who loved this world more than His life and heavenly glory, inspired us to go to local orphanages and share His Word with children of different age groups who are devoid of parental care and love.Who are we?
Evangelical Christians belonging to different local churches. We have experienced our Lord’s mercy, grace and transformation of our lives. Now we take them further! We have different professional backgrounds but are volunteers in this ministry.
Where are we?
Kharkov, Ukraine (Eastern Europe) – a former Soviet Union republic. Kharkov is the second largest Ukrainian city.
What do we do?
We plan a trip outside Kharkov to an orphanage we have been overseeing for nearly a year. There we do a Bible lesson with the kids, make crafts, play games, watch Christian video, have little discussions AND distribute gifts to each participant. Our gifts are usually stationery things (pencils, pens, notepads, markers, glue, etc.) Plus we have begun to bring in children’s Bibles – a few at a time as they are somehow expensive. Our goal is for each kid to have his/her own Bible to read. On top of that we bring clothing and sometimes other supplies.
HOW YOU CAN JOIN IN OUR MINISTRY
We are in great need of financial aid which will be used for children’s Bibles ($4 each, we want to purchase books for each orphanage in Kharkiv and already purchased more than 200 books), clothing and footwear, construction materials (there is always a need for refurbishment and repair of the premises).
